Temet

Honouring nature, the sun and the land, Temet winery was erected atop the rolling hills of Lozovik Village near Jagodina (Šumadija). Its creation is an exciting road filled with discoveries and challenges. The word Temet derives from the Latin word Temetum, which means - a strong and powerful wine with character. With about 30 hectares under organic cultivation ‒ and favouring low yields ‒ Temet’s focus is on indigenous varietals, especially Prokupac, Morava and Tamjanika. In the last 15 years it has grown to become one of the most important producers of quality wine in the whole region. Produced only in exceptional vintages, the grapes for Temet's single vineyard wines are grown on an unique hillside known for its significant dolomite deposits ... hence the name “white stone.” Small yields, picked by hand and aged in 50% new barrique (for the Syrah) and in 600 litre barrique (for Morava and Prokupac) these wines are both rare to find and a treat to enjoy.
