Cometa is a magnificent, single-varietal Fiano and a true star in the portfolio of its producer, Planeta … almost a legend. Intense and at the same time very finely delineated, the wine opens with notes of exotic fruits, lychee and mango, but also lots of peach and some lemon in the background. There is a richness to this wine, yet its well-integrated acidity gives it a delightful tension. Creamy on the finish with very good weight and lasting flavours. Pair this with shellfish, grilled fish and poultry.
