Named after a wild flower which grows around Planeta’s winery, this is a blend based on 85% Grecanico with 15% Sauvignon Blanc… both of which are cultivated organically and sustainably. On the nose there are notes of mountain herbs, yellow flowers, French honeysuckle, honey and Williams pears… and well as citrus, light notes of saffron and flint. In short, there is a lot going on, but it’s all wonderful and beguiling. In the mouth, the wine is fresh and vibrant, but also creamy and silky with notes of white peach. It’s a good choice for gastronomy and would pair well with seafood salads as well as with more complex dishes like spicy Asiatic dishes with sweet-and-sour sauce. It can also be paired with Mediterranean pasta dishes and vegetarian recipes.
