Chardonnay "Triangl"
If Louis Roederer was made famous by its Cristal Champagne, it was Chardonnay that made the reputation of Lastar winery. This wine, and its "white label" sister, represented a complete departure in profile and quality from how Chardonnay was typically made in Šumadija. Lastar was more Burgundian in style, more elegant, more pure, and with an underlying tension and energy that set it apart from its peers. Only the best grapes from the best plots are selected for this Triangl bottling. The wine offers an enchanting golden yellow colour and an aromatic profile that is deep and rich. It is reminiscent of wines from the Mâcon and Pouilly-Fuissé with subtle citrus tones leading to luscious tropical notes including pineapple and mango... and, in the background, discreet notes of creamy vanilla, brioche and fine oak. Served lightly chilled, at a temperature between 10°C and 12°C, to allow all of the layers of aroma and taste to be perfectly expressed. Pair this with rich seafood dishes, roast chicken and creamy pastas.

Lastar wines offer the power and richness of central Serbia’s Levač wine region in every glass. Located above the village of Sekurič, in sight of Juhor mountain and near the famous Imperial Road that linked Belgrade to Istanbul, the vineyards offer multiple sedentary layers dominated by clay. The family-owned winery comprises 26 hectares of vineyards on sunny, sloping hills. The crowning jewel is a single vineyard of Pinot Noir vines planted in 1976.
