Merlot - Cabernet Franc
This distinctive and unique wine from Lastar is designed to combine the qualities of Merlot and Cabernet Franc, and to showcase the unique and variable terroir of Levač. An intense ruby red in colour, the wine offers complex aromas of ripe red fruit such as black cherries, plums and blackberries, which intertwine with spicy notes and discreet traces of tobacco. This is a lovely pairing with red meat dishes, such as roasts, beef or venison. It also goes well with ripe cheeses and rich sauces.

Lastar wines offer the power and richness of central Serbia’s Levač wine region in every glass. Located above the village of Sekurič, in sight of Juhor mountain and near the famous Imperial Road that linked Belgrade to Istanbul, the vineyards offer multiple sedentary layers dominated by clay. The family-owned winery comprises 26 hectares of vineyards on sunny, sloping hills. The crowning jewel is a single vineyard of Pinot Noir vines planted in 1976.
