From an historic, hilltop single vineyard, this Barbaresco is an intense ruby red colour, lively and luminous. On the nose, aromas of wild berries meet notes of white pepper, licorice and aromatic herbs in particular pine, white mint, and laurel. The palate is velvety, harmonious, elegant, and defined by a lengthy persistent finish.

The Prunotto estate is located in Alba, the most important city in the Langhe area halfway between Barbaresco and Barolo. The Antinori family, charmed by such unique vineyards and soils, decided in 1989 to invest time and energy in this terroir, confident that their efforts would make Prunotto what it is today: one of the most important winemaking estates in the Piedmont region. The estate’s holding in the Bussia cru, in Monforte d’Alba, is one of the most celebrated vineyards in all of Barolo.
